Pepe Reino has spoken to his father and admitted he was “very happy” at Real Madrid, but insists he would prefer to play for the German giants.
The Argentinian forward is the latest starlet to sign a new contract at the Bernabeu, which expires at the end of the season.
Reina joined the club in 2015, and has scored 20 goals in 39 games since then.
“It is great to be here,” he said.
“It is my first season here.
I want to stay here for the whole season.
It is very, very good.”
The 24-year-old was born in Buenos Aires, and joined Barcelona in 2014, playing for the La Masia academy and the club’s youth academy.
Reino said he was initially disappointed with the club and their record signing, but has been “really impressed” by the new regime at the club.
“The club is very proud of the way they have managed me,” he added.
“They have given me everything and have helped me grow.
I am really happy here.”
