— A woman who blogs about beauty products is hoping to help save a species that’s being threatened by the rise of cosmetic products.
Lunaticks post on her blog, Natural Cosmetics, says it has become a “gift” for people who want to help protect endangered species.
Luna is a species of bird that’s considered one of the most endangered in the world, according to the Wildlife Conservation Society.
The bird is native to Indonesia and Malaysia, and its habitat is threatened by habitat loss and human development, according the organization.
Lunnaticks blog posts about products that are designed to “deliver the perfect shade of red” and uses natural ingredients to “perfect the complexion” of her products.
Her recipes include products made with coconut oil, avocado oil, coconut water and rice bran.LUNATICS post about her products on her website.
“We’ve been doing it for a long time, so we thought that it’s a really nice thing to do and a great way to support conservation efforts,” Luna said.
Luna said the company has been receiving positive feedback from people wanting to donate items.
“We’re getting hundreds and hundreds of emails a day, and people are so appreciative, so I’m grateful,” Luna told ABC News.
Lanatick was born in the United States, and moved to Florida in 2005 to work as a commercial airline pilot.

One Instagram user shared a photo of her product and captioned, “It’s so much better than the original.”
Lunats post has garnered more than 4,000 likes.
Linae, a makeup artist, is one of many celebrities who are posting their own products.
Linae has also launched her own blog, which she has labeled Lunatickers Beauty Tips, and also a website dedicated to helping endangered species, like the bird.
“They have a beautiful life, they’re very diverse and they’ve got to protect themselves,” she told ABC affiliate WPTV in an interview.
“We have a duty to help them and I want to be part of that mission.”
Luna hopes her blog will help save the bird, and help the endangered species be protected.
Luanaticks is currently working with the nonprofit, The Conservation Fund, to raise funds for the conservation efforts.
“The bird has a very unique ability, it’s really amazing,” she said.
“They have very limited space, and they need the help of the community to make sure they can continue to thrive.”
